sorry its been so long HAPPY EASTER i am very excited and the hedgehog sanctuary is coming along quite nicely we have a mini bridge soon to be upgraded and 6 ferns that are thriving in this weather (in New Zealand) on of my friends is also making a suggestion box to go up next to the fence to stop people getting in but hedgehogs are able to get in and out for the big winter we have come to a decision that we will let the area do its best bye its self but along that period we are going to mow the lawn and create a small pond behind the bridge!

Sorry its been so long  buttons  survived the night at my friends but when i took him home we checked on him every 10 minutes or so that i forgot and checked on him after 30   minutes and he was dead it was very sad He will be remembered and he survived long than a old  hedgehog Bramble.

Me   and my friends Have found a Baby Hedgehog Her Name is Buttons  And Is A Female Thankfully She Survived Yesterday at the moment today she is at my friends house apparently she is shivering so she is heating up a water bottle.Hopefully we can save it who knows everyday its a  suprise. We found her on the concrete During The Day Sniffing a blueberry all on its own we picked it up while it was awake in the sun and put it in a shaded area while we looked for its mother we searched for about 20-30 minutes and all we found was candy rapper    although a couple of days before this We Found Another dead Hedgehog under a bush and after that another alive hedgehog we called Bramble who sadly died from a unknown Sickness.More Info Coming About Button Friday Stay Tune!!

In the precursor to Groundhog Day, hedgehogs were the supposedly portentous critters.

The sea urchin is actually named after the hedgehog.

Before the more adorable name came into use, the spiky mammals were called "urchins" and thus inspired the name of the similarly spiky sea creatures

Hedgehogs are largely immune to snake venom.

This means that, although their typical diet consists of insects and berries, they can take down a viper in a fight and eat it, too.

Hedgehogs can hibernate, but not all do.

Which makes them one of the only three animals in Great Britain that hibernate.
